The auto switch layers feature allows our software to switch to the correct app layers automatically when an online meeting is detected. First of all, as a prerequisite, you would need to add the app layers to the ChonkerKeys before it can auto switch to use them, you may refer to the article Controlling more apps to learn more about it. Also, it will require the ChonkerKeys software to work.

Then, you can proceed to,

How to enable or disable auto switch layers?

How does auto switch layers work?

With our software running and auto switch layers is enabled, the software will seamlessly auto switch to the corresponding app layer when there is a mismatch of the current app layer in the ChonkerKeys and the first online meeting detected in one of our compatible meeting applications.

There will be a windows prompt to notify you that our software has auto switched to the correct layer to get real time status.

**An important note is that auto switch layers cannot be toggled enable/disable when you have an ongoing meeting detected, this is to prevent the confusion of status lighting and meeting control jumping from one layer to another automatically.

Manual selection layers will also be disabled for the same reason if auto switch layers is enabled before a meeting is detected.

What if there are multiple meetings started?

In rare occasion, there are multiple online meetings running in your machine, auto switch layers will only work with the first meeting detected and the toggle of auto switch layers would be disabled in order to prevent confusion of status lighting and meeting control jumping from one layer to another..

At the same time, manual selection of layers will also be disabled once the first meeting is detected with the same reason as above. You can still check the current layer when you expand the manual layer selection menu when you hover on to ChonkerKeys menu.
