Changing your ChonkerKeys app layer

If you require to use the predefined app layer , we'll show you how in this guide.

You can configure your ChonkerKeys to use different layer for different application, such as Zoom, Teams, Skype, Google Meet or even a custom layer with your customized macro keys setup.

First of all, as a prerequisite, you would need to add the app layers to the ChonkerKeys before you could use them, you may refer to the article Controlling more apps to learn more about it.

Then, you can proceed to,

How to change layer on Windows

  1. Change the layer of the ChonkerKeys by right-clicking on the ChonkerKeys logo "C" icon in the windows task bar to expand the menu. The mini app displays the current app layer e.g. Zoom in the example below

  2. In the menu, hover your cursor to the name of your Chonkerkeys

  3. All the app layers will be displayed in the submenu

  4. Choose the app layer you would like to control with your ChonkerKeys

  5. ChonkerKeys' LED will flash once after your layer selection

How to change layer on macOS

  1. Click the ChonkerKeys logo 'C' icon on the menu bar on top of the screen to expand the menu. The mini app displays the current app layer e.g. Zoom in the example below

  2. In the menu, hover your cursor to the name of your Chonkerkeys

  3. All the app layers will be displayed in the submenu

4. Choose the app layer you would like to control with your ChonkerKeys

5. ChonkerKeys' LED will flash once after your layer selection, and the sub app icon will be updated with the app logo
